This bodywork has been hand-cut from his special-edition black and papaya challenger that stormed the track at the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix and is accompanied by a photo taken at the race, which saw the driver secure an impressive third place podium.
The team sported a special edition livery for the Japanese and Singapore Grands Prix – the ‘Stealth Mode’ livery saw the MCL60 in a sleek black with a papaya trim. 2023 was a season of ups and downs for the Woking team – they faced some challenges early on in the season but soon managed to get back on track; when the McLaren team brought upgrades to the Austrian and British Grand Prix’s, the Papaya team shot to the front. That leap forward culminated in many top performances, such as the Japanese double podium for the McLaren drivers.
From each display, the bodywork varies as each piece is completely unique. The special livery featured almost none of the light blue and was a much closer resemblance to the McLaren of the current, 2024, livery.
